Technical architect, lead developer, agile coach

2005 - present
I have worked as a technical architect, lead developer, and agile coach on a number of large scale enterprise projects for organisations including Woodside Energy, Bankwest, Telstra, Comcast, Amdocs, AXA, Australia Post, VSNL, DonRiver, Dexibit, the British Department for Transport, The Australasian Leukaemia and Lymphona Group, Pick n Pay, Cramer Systems, UPC Cablecom, Vodafone New Zealand, Rogers, Enterprise Press, Rekon Group, and the Precedent Pool.


2000 - 2005
Undertook Masters, PhD, and post doctoral research with Trinity College, the European Union, and the University of Bristol.


Worked with Deloitte in computer assurance services, PriceWaterhouse Coopers in the field of operational systems risk management, and Zimbabwean ISP Samara Services.



Currently focused on applying serverless technology in the fields of big data, IoT and rich single page web applications, working mostly in Python and Node.js. Skilled (commercial systems in production) in a range of industry standard Java frameworks (Spring, Hibernate, JSF), application servers (JBoss, WebLogic, WebSphere, Jetty), databases (Oracle, MySQL, Postgres, Neo4J), operating systems (Solaris, Linux), and cloud environments (Amazon Web Services - EC2, RDS, ELB, S3, Lambdas etc.). Extensive experience with range of front-end technologies (React, Framework7, JQuery, Bootstrap, Angular, Vaadin). Experienced in building multi-platform mobile apps using Adobe PhoneGap. Able to quickly master new technologies and business domains and rapidly offer value.
